Surgery of the Pancreas
Introduction
Surgery is the only chance of cure for pancreatic endocrine tumours. It is used in the treatment of all the functional pancreatic tumours. Depending on any pre-operative information on the location of any tumours, the precise details of any operation may change. Methods of exposing the different regions of the pancreas and removal of tumours are described here. These sections contain many technical terms and are aimed primarily at surgeons. They also contain pictures of surgery that some people may not wish to view.
